Products Introduction

 

 

The GS5891 GPS timing device is a compact, portable unit designed as a support instrument to provide users with precise UTC (Coordinated Universal Time) or TAI (International Atomic Time), while also offering signal detection capabilities.

The mobile timing device synchronizes its internal time with an external reference-either GNSS signals or a standard time code from a central time reference-and then distributes high-precision UTC or TAI time to other equipment via its timing output unit.

It can accept any of the following as a reference source for disciplining its internal rubidium atomic clock: external GNSS signals, IRIG-B(DC) code, or 1PPS + serial UTC/TAI time code. In addition, the device can test and calibrate the 1PPS signals of external equipment.

  • Its compact and portable design makes it easy to carry in the field;

  • A dual backup design of rubidium clock + crystal oscillator. The rubidium clock serves as the master clock source, while the crystal oscillator is the backup. When the rubidium clock fails, it immediately switches to the backup crystal oscillator for timekeeping without affecting the signal output, ensuring high reliability;

  • Provides UTC or TAI time to external users (selectable output);

  • It has an internal GNSS satellite wireless signal receiving function, and the default priority is GPS;

  • The device accepts B(DC) or 1PPS+serial UTC/TAI time code from a central timing station or mobile timing device for time synchronization.

  • Once synchronized, it automatically begins outputting timing signals;

  • When GNSS signals are available, the 1PPS timing output can be used to calibrate the frequency of the internal timekeeping clock.;

  • The timekeeping accuracy is better than 10ms/year under uninterrupted power supply conditions;

  • Equipped with battery power supply capability. The battery is rated for a minimum of 200 charge/discharge cycles or a minimum shelf life of 2 years;

  • Equipped with portable mobile timing functionality, the device provides a holdover duration exceeding 5 hours. The rubidium clock delivers holdover accuracy better than 10µs over 5 hours, while the backup crystal oscillator ensures holdover accuracy better than 70µs over the same 5-hour period;

  • It features displays for clock setting, synchronization, time measurement, number of visible satellites, and battery life;

  • Meets vehicle-mounted military environmental requirements;

  • The cold start stabilization time is less than 30 minutes.
